With much gratitude for her leadership for over 6 years, we say a warm farewell to our Executive Director, Amanda Stanley.
Even before joining the COMPASS team, Amanda worked with COMPASS to co-create the transformative Wilburforce Leaders program in her previous role at the Wilburforce Foundation. Since joining COMPASS as Executive Director in 2017, Amanda has helped grow COMPASS’s reach and impact. From big vision, strategic planning that prioritized value-driven DEIJ practices to new, innovative communication trainings, COMPASS has come a long way under her guidance.
Above all, Amanda brought an expansive definition of leadership that fosters collaboration and encourages everyone on the team to grow and lead in varied ways. Thanks to that leadership culture, the COMPASS team is well-positioned to navigate this transition and continue to meet the needs of the communities we serve.
We are so grateful for the many ways that Amanda has contributed to COMPASS and all of the people and organizations that support COMPASS and its important work. We wish her the very best in her next chapter, professionally and personally.
So what’s next for COMPASS? We are leaning into our collaborative values and adopting a shared leadership model in the interim with Kelly Reardon, Heather Mannix, and Heather Reiff at the helm. They’ve each been with COMPASS for over 8 years, and with Amanda, have been part of the leadership team for the past two or more years. This leadership team will continue to lead the organization with vision, enthusiasm and a commitment to our mission while the board of directors completes a thoughtful and deliberative process to determine permanent leadership.
On behalf of all of the team, again, thank you Amanda! You will be missed.
